Charlie Kirk – Needed Clarity

A Latter-day Saint Perspective

Went to the temple last Thursday morning.

I asked the Lord to help me see, help me understand.

Satan

As Satan spoke accusingly to Peter, James and John, my eyes opened to what was taking place.

Satan projects his power lust onto the Apostles who are polar opposites of his desires to subject and control. The Apostles seek to enlighten and empower each individual.

They don’t seek tyranny. Instead, craving power over others is a principle addiction of the devil’s dark, psychotic kingdom.

Opposites

On the opposite side of the spectrum of binding darkness we have Truth and Light. Truth and Light are great equalizers of humanity; they empower people and bring everyone up to the same level. And that is everything Jesus Christ is about – bringing us all up to His level and empowering each individual.

Which describes one of the chief motivations of Zion:

Lust for Power

Charlie Kirk’s death was a power play more than anything else.

The lust for power justifies any means to get it. The craving of power mows down anything that disrupts it.

Russia and Ukraine can justify the extraordinary loss of life between them fueled by the pursuit of power and dominion.

Some justify the loss of life and child trafficking due to the mass immigrant invasion because it increases their power.

Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk was on the side of Christ, and truth as best he knew how. He empowered people. He dared go into the strongholds of Satan’s kingdom – the liberal woke universities and talk to the younger generation, releasing them from bondage by exposing false rhetoric and championing free speech. He challenged the strongholds of blinding hate, anger, and indignation—all means of controlling others.

Charlie Kirk disrupted someone’s power.

May we recognize the power-crazy forces we face and how they function and be inspired how to best beat them.

I prayed in the Celestial room last week for increased ministrations and burnings of the Holy Ghost, and to borrow grace from the Savior as we traverse these troubled times. I pray you have those as well.

I am disappointed that you have come to the decision that it was a lust for power. I think that you are caught up in the craziness of what is going on and not realizing that our Prophet has told us we are ALL children of God and He LOVES us all. Have you truly looked at some of the beliefs Charlie has taught? He is just as radical as the other side. Do you have a relative that is gay, black, an educated woman who wants to work and has the talents given to her to work, a woman who could die because of a pregnancy that could go wrong, or any other types of craziness that he preaches. Well, I do and I believe that they are just as important and loved by God as anyone else. I feel sorry for you that you can go to the Temple and use that as an excuse for accepting this type of belief. I am grateful that I don’t have to judge. I am just saying that there is radicals on both side of the fence and we as Latter-Day Saints should listen to and obey our Prophet and the General Authorities. Sometimes when people think they know so much, they really don’t know at all. I never do things like this but I use your lesson helps all the time and now it scares me that I could be teaching something against my morals and beliefs.

Please show me a video or official source, not legacy news of your claims of him saying any of those things. So far, every one of those have been proven false and you have prominent people apologizing for spreading those things. Major networks are firing reporters for false reports and so on. If they were true, I couldn’t fault you for feeling as you do – but since those are false claims with both black, gay and other people being the loudest to refute them, I believe you decided to adopt the hearsay without actually verifying them. Charlie was quite sweet which is why the whole world is reacting. He did not earn any of your accusations. But I’m willing to watch an unchopped video in context of what you claim. Please reply with the link and we’ll all see what you are talking about.

As I thought about your post…I believe you are passing on false slander. And I’ve seen lots of people uncovering the slander you embrace. I invited you to find an unchopped video, anything that implicates Charlie in the way you have. You cannot, because it does not exist. Are you aware that the Senate unanimously approved a National Day for Charlie Kirk meaning all the Democrats voted yes. Are you aware that most of the House of Representatives did the same, including the Democrats? I invite you to investigate your own claims by going straight to the source and watching the video in context – meaning what was said before the quote you question and what were the comments after. You have jumped on a bandwagon without really knowing what’s going on.

A recent post by A. Gene Robinson – a famous black author.

“I’ve sat through over 50 hours of Charlie Kirk’s videos as an ethnically Black American.

      Not one racist word.

      Not 1.

What Democrats do is cut snippets, strip context, and shove sound bites at the same gullible slob audience too lazy to fact-check.

That isn’t exposing racism .. it’s manufacturing lies to spark division.”

      Let’s learn from this.

I lost about 1/100th of subscribers for expressing my views about Charlie Kirk’s life today. Please spare your threats of unsubscribing. Please note this isn’t lesson material – and I have served you faithfully and well. You want to march off in protest…that’s does not feel equitable to me. I still wish the best for your Sunday teaching and may Christ richly bless you in your calling.

I do reserve the right to express myself on my own blog and would prefer you not try to shush me or control my personal sharing because it differs from your views one time. I hope you reconsider, of course. And above all, please double verify your accusations of Charlie Kirk. There is a lot of false info cited on this comment section alone and I don’t have a lot of respect for those who condemn without going to the actual source to see if what they read is true or it actually exists. Godspeed us all.

I have been teaching in my High Priest Quorum for years that one of Satan’s most powerful tools is to cause for the hearts of men to “wax cold” … Matthew 24:12 “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” This verse, spoken by Jesus to his disciples on the Mount of Olives, predicts a future time characterized by rampant lawlessness and evil, leading to a widespread decline in love and faithfulness among people. The desire of men to achieve power and control (unrighteous dominion) over their brothers and sisters is a prime example of Satan‘s will being done among many. This is a 2,000 year-old prophesy unfolding before our very eyes.

Dominion and Power is the underlying, and chief root of much evil, more than money because all money really is – is a means to power.

I am so saddened, indeed upset, that you’ve chosen to use the site I’ve relied on for help to prepare my RS lessons as a platform for your politics. While we are all children of God and each is entitled to our personal beliefs, we must know when and where it’s appropriate to air them. This is your website and you are certainly entitled to say what you want to on it but I am deeply disappointed that you’ve chosen to not only express your political views here but that the stridence in how you’ve chosen to express them implies that those of us who are also of faith, who also follow the Prophet, who also believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who have also made covenants and strive every day to honor and revere Him by keeping them is somehow less. You are indeed entitled to speak up and take a stand for what you think and believe; that is a freedom guaranteed to all of us and I would always defend your right to do so. However, our Savior, our Father in Heaven are neither one political animals and I question the Spirit’s agreement that what you’ve chosen to do in the way and place you’ve chosen to do it is okay with Them.

You are wrong to think that anyone who may disagree with you is punishing you for exercising your freedom of speech and to have chosen to do so here, where there are many of us who have relied on your help to prepare Gospel lessons, is equally wrong. This is not to say that the murder of Charlie Kirk is acceptable because I disagree with his stance. It is not. This kind of thing is never okay and it pains me to see the nation we have become because increasingly many think it’s an acceptable way to express their anger and disagreement.

While I am very upset at your choice in this instance, I also believe in your faithfulness to the Savior and your efforts to follow him. I do believe your lesson helps are inspired. For those reasons I will not unsubscribe but, Sister Cannon, please know that you have crossed a line in a venue where political expression is highly inappropriate and has been hurtful to many of us who have relied on your otherwise well thought-through lesson helps.

Sister, you and I will have to disagree on this one. I have a blog where I often express my personal stories and opinions and if you can’t abide me having a different opinion on a single topic that isn’t even a part of lesson material, then I can’t help that. But you ARE overreaching. I wish you well.

I wonder if you took as much time to pray and ponder my post as it took me to write it. Perhaps we are both overreaching to some extent. Catch you on the flip side where none of this will matter.

Thank you for your post on this, the extremes of light and dark are so strong right now, and Charlie Kirk is a great loss to the world as he spread light.

I come to this site for help teaching the Gospel, NOT for politics. I’m unsubscribing.

Lisa, I’m sorry you feel that way and thought you could guilt me. Nonetheless, I’m okay speaking up and taking a stand in spite of the consequences. It is my same spirit and same personality that would create a site like this and offer it to the world as the one who stood up and said enough is enough with the hate mongering and murder. I’m okay with you punishing me for speaking up. As for pretending that my voice is limited on my own site and that I must only do one function – create lessons for you – is your rule, not mine.
