Double Love

I love you. I assure you that our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, love you. They are intimately aware of your circumstances, your goodness, your needs, and your prayers for help. Again and again, I pray for you to feel Their love for you.

Notice President Nelson didn’t say “feel God’s love” or reference that non-specific God/Lord fuzzy-in-your-head Father/Son person. (You’d be surprised how many members think of “God” almost exclusively in those terms.) He said, “Their love.”

President Nelson is intentionally deepening your understanding of true doctrine.

There is a love that comes from Jesus – uniquely and straight from Him and individually to you. There is a love that comes from Heavenly Father – uniquely and straight from Him and individually to you.

Pajamas

Experiencing Their love is vital, as it seems that we are accosted daily by an onslaught of sobering news. You may have had days when you wished you could don your pajamas, curl up in a ball, and ask someone to awaken you when the turmoil is over.

(Or move to the countryside and shut off all outside media.)

Great and Precious Promises

But, my dear brothers and sisters, so many wonderful things are ahead. In coming days, we will see the greatest manifestations of the Savior’s power that the world has ever seen. Between now and the time He returns “with power and great glory,” He will bestow countless privileges, blessings, and miracles upon the faithful. (Oct 2022)

coming: due to happen or just beginning

Such a riveting prophecy! There is a lot packed into a few words. Let’s make a list:

• so many wonderful things ahead
• greatest manifestations of the Savior’s power
• (that the world has ever seen)
• countless privileges (endless exemptions, advantages, entitlements, immunity)
• countless blessings
• countless miracles

Do you believe President Nelson? Will you allow your faithful actions to increase so that these great and precious promises to you are sure?

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:4)
